Existing Home Installation

imageAir Krete foam insulation can be injected into most types of walls.  We work with brick, wood, aluminum and vinyl exteriors but regardless of the material, our process allows us to work from the outside of the building.  First the siding is removed, then holes are drilled into each wall cavity.  image Each cavity is probed to check for obstructions that may require additional holes.  image Once the house is opened up image the Air Krete insulation foam is prepared image with careful attention to specifications.  Each batch is checked for weight to ensure the proper structure and r-value.  The Air Krete is then injected into the wall cavityimage, the holes are plugged image the siding re-installed image and if you provide the material, we will even touch up any chipped paint. image After final clean up image your home is better than new!

Al Gore chose Air Krete, so did we!

Pure Seal uses Air Krete wall foam for insulation of closed wall cavities.  We chose Air Krete after careful evaluation of competing systems and materials for the following reasons:

· Air Krete offers outstanding R-value (4 per inch).

· Air Krete flows around obstructions in the wall during installation, which prevents voids in the insulation.

· Air Krete does not shrink or settle in the wall, which eliminates unwanted air infiltration.  Competing retrofit foams can shrink which allows cold air to bypass the insulation, significantly reducing is value.

· Air Krete is class “A” fire rated.  It simply will not burn, which is an important consideration especially in homes with older style wiring.

· Air Krete repels insects and rodents and will not support mold growth.

· Air Krete is a true Green product.  Air Krete is based on Magnesium Oxide, contains no Carcinogenic fibers, no CFCs or Formaldehyde.  Air Krete is odorless and free of toxins that may affect the chemically sensitive.

We believe that Air Krete is a superior product with significant advantages over competing systems for closed cavity insulation.

R-value and Air Sealing Visualized

R-Value and Air Sealing Are Both Important

image At Pure Seal we address both air sealing and the need for resistance to conductive heat transfer ("R-value") with our system.  Click here for a visual representation of how both elements must be in place for your building to be truly energy efficient.  Providing R-value is only half the battle!
