Rating Services and Consulting

Pure Seal offers a full spectrum of Energy Rating and Consulting services*.  We believe that a successful energy improvement program must be cost effective.

A building should be designed as a system with recognition that no single element performs in isolation.  Thankfully, building science has developed a good framework for this analysis.

In the realm of energy efficiency, the Residential Energy Services Network (RESNET) provides the tools and guidelines.  As RESNET certified Home Energy Raters we can evaluate a proposed building based on plans and specifications to arrive at an accurate estimate of future energy consumption.  After construction we can certify a building under the Energy Star program.

We can evaluate an existing building and produce a written report with suggestions for cost effective improvements.

The 2005 Energy Bill offers various tax incentives to builders and owners to improve the performance of homes.  In most instances, these programs require certification.
